The Ford Mustang is a well-known American muscle car but with the 2018 Ford Mustang the carmaker is putting Europe first for both the Fastback and the Convertible version.
We recently saw the 2018 Ford Mustang and straight away we could tell that it isn’t going to be heading only to the US. If you take a close look you can see that the steering wheel is located on the right hand side. This tells us that the vehicle in this picture is going to make its way to Europe.
The Ford Mustang did fall short last year in the Euro NCAP results with just two stars. The 2018 Ford Mustang is going to make up for this as it will come with features such as the rear seat belt pre-tensioners. It is arriving with autonomous emergency braking, collision assistance and plenty more features.
We are expecting the 2018 Ford Mustang to come with a tweaked version of the 5 litre Coyote engine or the 2.3 litre EcoBoost. The naturally aspirated V8 engine offers dual injection and compression ratio that has been increased and this means even more horses.
The 2018 Ford Mustang will bring with it the 10 speed auto transmission that was made alongside GM, so we are expecting the vehicle to be just as impressive both in the US and in Europe.
