By  |

The 2018 Ford F-150 has been around for some time now but we are still waiting for the diesel-powered model to arrive. While we still do not know when Ford will be releasing it, news about the mpg number of the vehicle should get the fans excited.

The diesel Ford F-150 will be powered by a 3.0-liter turbocharged V6 engine that will be offering about 250hp and 440lb ft of torque. It was now announced that the V6 engine will be offering about 30mpg on the highway and 22mpg the city.

With those numbers, the Ford F-150 Diesel will beat the Ram 1500 EcoDiesel model which is offering about 27mpg on the highway right now. Chevrolet has not announced the mpg for their Silverado diesel yet so we will still have to wait and see.

For now, the Ford F-150 diesel is looking like the diesel truck to beat.
