2018 Corvette ZR1 Taunts Ford Mustang GT500 RHD

By  |

Ford has a superb market reach and this has been great for them in the past as it has helped them with sales against rivals. A good example of this is seen with the Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 as the vehicle has been launched globally and it has been sold in right hand drive.

The Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 has been able to tap into the market and gain better sales than its rivals. One of them is the Corvette ZR1 and GM are very desperate to be able to match the same market reach as Ford.

GM said that they want to bring the Corvette ZR1 to Australia but it seems that there is one issue and this is to do with the logo of the carmaker as it has been said that it can’t get into Australia as the logo looks like a Red Cross flag.

This is very frustrating for GM but it does seem that Australians may be getting behind the wheel of the Corvette ZR1 as GM is working with authorities to use the logo. If things do go well for them then they may be offering the Corvette ZR1 with right hand drive.

Ford of course isn’t going to want them to be given permission as the Corvette ZR1 would be going up against the Ford Mustang GT 500 for sales.
