2018 Corvette ZR1 Runs From 2017 Detroit Auto Show

The 2018 Corvette ZR1 is running from the 2017 Detroit Auto Show as we have heard that we are not going to hear any news about it. It had been suggested that the vehicle would be introduced after spy shots were seen.

While many people have been holding their breath in anticipation of the 2018 Corvette ZR1 attending the show, they should now begin to breathe again as it isn’t going to happen.

We have heard about documents that have leaked from GM along with trademark filings that have confirmed the vehicle will have the 6.2 litre V8 LT5 DOHC engine. We also think that the 2018 C7 Corvette ZR1 is going to bring back the LT5 designation, which was used last on the C4 Corvette ZR1 on the V8 DOHC engine that was developed with the help of Lotus.

The engine is coming out in 2018, so it is thought that we will see the 2018 Corvette ZR1 at some point this year. However don’t expect it to arrive at the Detroit Auto Show.
