2018 Apple iPhone Wireless Charging Speed Will Not Be The Same

By  |

As we get closer to the unveiling of the new Apple iPhones, more and more details about the devices are being leaked out as well with the latest suggesting that the upcoming iPhone might have a shorter wireless charging time now.

China Times reported that Apple might be looking to revamp the wireless charging coil of the iPhones. Instead of using the ferrite polymer composite, the new iPhones will be using the new copper wire which will allow the device to charge faster and more efficiently.

The new coil should allow the iPhones to charge with speeds higher than 10W due to reduce resistance. For now, it is believed that only one device will be offered with the charging coil. If that is the case, we are expecting to see it on the Apple iPhone X Plus.

Of course, this is just speculations right now as Apple has not come out to deny or confirm anything.
