It should not be too much longer before we get to see the 2017 Toyota Hilux make its launch in Malaysia and we have already been treated to it at the Toyota WOW Road Tour 3 event. This is the little brother to the 2017 Toyota Tacoma and its downright ugly.

We saw the 2017 Toyota Hilux, the little brother to the 2017 Toyota Tacoma, in the 2.8G with 4×4 and automatic gearing and there is also the 4×2 2.4 manual along with the double cab 4×2 2.4 manual, the 4×4 2.4 standard manual, the 4×4 2.4g manual and the 4×4 2.4G automatic available.

At the top end of the range you can expect to pay out RM135, 000 and for this you get additional LED projector lights that are automatic along with LED daytime running lights, fog lights, chrome grille and 18 inch alloys.

The cabin of the 2017 Toyota Tacoma offers a steering wheel in leather, 4.2 inch display, driver’s seat that can be adjusted eight ways and reverse parking camera and sensors.

For safety there are three airbags, EBD and ABS, while on the 2.4G and 2.8G automatics there is stability control, active traction control and hill start assistance. The top of the range 2.8G gets side and curtain airbags, making seven in total.

The 2017 Toyota Hilux offers the 2.4 litre 150PS/400 Nm in the manual or the 2.8 litre GD turbodiesel engine offering 177 PS/450 Nm in the automatic.
