The 2017 Toyota Highlander has landed a low blow on the Honda Pilot and we are talking about the fact that the Highlander takes on a much better look than the Pilot, which means the Pilot is unable to compete.

Typically when a newly refreshed vehicle comes out the price tag has risen. This time around the total opposite has happened as the vehicle has been given a refresh, while the price tag is now lower.

The 2017 Toyota Highlander may have a lower price tag than before but it now comes with even more equipment. When it showed up at the New York Auto Show people fell in love with the design of it, more so to the front end and the improvements that have been made to the cabin.

The 2017 Toyota Highlander offers the 3.5 litre V6 engine with 295 horsepower and 263 torque and it has the eight speed automatic gears. If you choose the LE version it comes with stop/start tech and if you go for the 6 cylinder hybrid engine it offers an electric motor taking it to 306 horsepower. The green version comes with all-wheel drive, while the rest of them are offered in two-wheel drive and four-wheel drive.

The price tag for the 2017 Toyota Highlander hybrid electric is $37, 210; the XLE trim is $42, 270. You make savings on the Limited along with the Limited Platinum as the Limited is now offered for $3, 110 less and the Platinum is yours with savings of $2, 605.

The Toyota Highlander managed to arrive on the shores of the US this November and it has gone down very well.
