2017 Subaru WRX: One Word… Overpriced

By  |

If you want to get your hands on the 2017 Subaru WRX you are going to have to hand over $26, 695 and if you want the STi version it is going to cost you $35, 195 plus delivery. So is the vehicle overpriced, we think so.

The price differences from this year are $100 and $500 in comparison to last year and the delivery charges are said to add on another $820 to both of the vehicle.

The 2017 Subaru WRX along with the WRX STi are both going to have a brand new fabric headliner along with front automatic windows. They will also include the addition of a premium sound system for another $1,600 and the tech upgrades come in from $2, 600. The EyeSight inclusion technology package will add another $3, 795 onto the asking price. This comes with safety features including adaptive cruise control, lane departure and pre-collision braking.

The engine in the 2017 Subaru WRX is the 2 litre direct injection turbocharged Boxer engine and this is going to offer up 268 horses. It comes with the all-wheel drive and the six speed manual transmission.

The premium version offers a moonroof along with different wheel options and takes the price tag to $29, 815. If you add on the continuously variable transmissions to the premium it is going to boost the price tag up to $31, 015.

The 2017 Subaru WRX STi will offer the turbocharged 2.5 litre engine and the inter-cooled Boxer engine offers up 305 horses. It comes with the active torque vectoring, super sport ABS technology, the driver controlled centre differential and the Brembo brakes.

You can choose a six speed transmission along with low profile trunk spoiler instead of the signature wing. The STi also brings with it automatic headlights and wind-shield wiper operation.
