2017 Nissan Titan: Is This Enough?

By  |

We are here to tell you that the Nissan Titan XD has finally got a baby brother, the Titan, and they are certainly not very identical. Sure, it could be difficult to spot the differences at first glance, but look closer and you could see that they don’t have much of a family resemblance.

For starters, they do not even share any common chassis components, and moreover, the lug nuts are also different. If you ought to compare between the two, the Titan’s chassis is a tad bit smaller than the XD, with the former being 14.7-inches shorter overall than its brethren. There’s also the wheelbase which shrinks nearly a foot, and height which drops by 1.5-inches too. Probably the only similarities are both models having the same width and same cab sizes.

The Titan would be offered with two engines, but it’s only one of them that’s been announced by the automaker as of now. Under the hood of this truck would lie a 5.6-litre V8 with 390 horsepower and 401 lb-ft of torque and a seven-speed automatic gearbox. Alternatively, there’s also going to be a gasoline-fueled V6, but details are still scarce at the moment.

So tell us now, how pumped up do you think you’d get for this baby truck? We’re hoping that the Titan could fare well in the market because, what’s there not to like about it?
