2017 Nissan Leaf Will Prosper The Further You Drive

By  |

In December of 2010 the Nissan Leaf was launched to the world and it sold just 50 units. Today it has become the best-seller among electric vehicles and at the moment there are over 252,000 vehicles on the roads around the world. With the arrival of the 2017 Nissan Leaf that number will shoot up.

The success of the Nissan Leaf is down to it being available in the global markets and of course it did get off the ground faster than the Tesla Model S, which came out in June 2012 and sold 158,000 units.

Nissan wanted the Nissan Leaf to appeal to a wider audience and so they offered it with front-wheel drive and also styled the vehicle from ideas taken from focus groups.

From 2010 to 2014 the sales of the Nissan Leaf continually rose year after year and in 2016 Nissan managed to see a total of 275,000 electric vehicles, with the Leaf accounting for 91.6%.

When you take the progress of the Leaf into account it isn’t going to be difficult to see that the 2017 Nissan Leaf will only prosper even more. While Tesla is known as the premium model, Nissan owns the world right now.
