The new Nissan Leaf Black Edition was launched last fall and now the vehicle is being offered in the UK. But can it get any uglier?
The model is arriving in August 2017 and this is a Limited Edition with a price tag of £26, 890 including the government plug-in grant of £5, 490. The first 200 people to buy the vehicle in Europe will also get free WiFi hotspot in the cabin.
The limited edition has been based on the old Leaf and the Acenta grade, plus some extra features. These include black side mirror, LED headlights, roof spoiler, privacy glass and 16 inch alloys.
The interior of the vehicle comes with illuminated entry guards along with mats with blue stitching, Around View Monitor and Nissan Connect EV telematics.
The director of EVs for the European division of Nissan said that the Nissan Leaf Black Edition showcases the commitment of Nissan in making premium quality products that are accessible for all. However it also shows that Nissan don’t have much design sense when it comes to good looking vehicles.
He went on to say that the stylish black vehicle combined dynamic styling along with zero emission tech for customers wanting an intelligent mobility solution for driving around the city.
The Black Edition of the Nissan Leaf looks ugly, in our eyes, and it comes with a price tag of upwards of $30k.
