2017 Mazda CX-5: Might Miss The Mark By A Year

By  |

The Mazda CX-5 was very well received when Mazda showed it off at the LA Auto Show this year. While most people are expecting it to arrive this year, some new reports are claiming that the new Mazda CX-5 might end up being a 2018 model.

As of now, Mazda has not revealed when the Mazda CX-5 will be arriving and there are already rumors about the Mazda CX-5 not going to make it out this year.

Despite all the changes that the Mazda CX-5 will be getting, it will still not be the premium Mazda CX-5 that the fans have been hoping for. Before the announcement, fans were hoping that the new Mazda CX-5 would come with some premium features as well as a better engine as the lack of power seems to be one of the reasons why people did not like the CX-5.

Well, Mazda did not give it an engine upgrade but they did make a few major changes to the Mazda CX-5. The Mazda CX-5 will be coming in with a 2.5-liter engine that will be mated to a six-speed auto transmission. The 2.0 liter will no longer be the base model. Mazda also reveals that the new model will be coming in with a diesel engine option as well although they did not reveal when the diesel model will be arriving as well.

With all the changes, the Mazda CX-5 is turning out to be the one to beat.
