According to the Toyota Prius the 2017 Hyundai Ioniq sucks. This is down to the fact that the Ioniq easily beats the Prius in regards to the fuel economy that it offers.

The EPA ratings for the 2017 Hyundai Ioniq have been announced for all three versions of the vehicle, the hybrid, electric and the plug-in.

The Toyota Prius ratings come in at 50mpg when driving out on the highway, in the city they are 54mpg and a combination of 52mpg. The 2017 Hyundai Ioniq offers up 54mpg out on the highway, 55mpg in the city and 55mpg combined. This means that if you are going to do a lot of driving on the highway you get a significant larger amount.

The Plug-in Blue offers up 59mpg on the highway, 57mpg in the city and 55mpg combined. When driving on pure electric you will get 31 miles.

The electric version of the Hyundai Ioniq offers up 124 miles with MPGe of 122 when on the highway, 150 around the city and 136 combined. What fails to impress is the fact that it offers 20 plus miles. To make up for this we expect to see a vehicle with 200 miles plus arriving in 2018.

So does show the Hyundai Ioniq really suck?.
