2017 Honda Ridgeline: Two More Competitors Knocked Out

By  |

The USA really loves their full-size hunky pickup trucks. So does this mean that there isn’t any room on the market for more compact and mid-size models? It is looking that way as the 2017 Honda Ridgeline has lost another competitor.

Mercedes and Renault seem to be of the opinion that their trucks are not going to go down well in the USA. That’s two competitors out of the way for the 2017 Honda Ridgeline.

Renault recently launched the 2017 Renault Alaskan and they are launching it in every market around the globe, save for the US. This is a shame really as the Alaskan might have been the perfect comeback instead of making a return to the US with a full-sized sedan or compact hatchback, neither or which are popular anymore.

The 2017 Honda Ridgeline will also not have to compete with the Mercedes GLT, which has the platform of the Nissan Navara. So it is looking right now as the only real completion the Ridgeline has is from the Frontier.
