2017 Honda Ridgeline Tackles Tacoma, Colorado and the Frontier Fight It Out

By  |

There is no doubt that when the 2017 Honda Ridgeline made its arrival at the Detroit Auto Show it went down a storm. While it did get many good comments the vehicle also got some comments that were less desirable. Mainly the poor comments were about the looks as many people claimed that the vehicle was boring to look at.

Now people are wondering how the 2017 Honda Ridgeline compares with vehicles such as the Chevrolet Colorado, Toyota Tacoma and Nissan Frontier. So can it stand up to these V6 midsize trucks?

The Chevrolet Colorado is the vehicle that offers the most horses and for the most torque you would have to choose the Nissan Frontier. For the payload it is the Chevrolet Colorado that takes another win as it can tow 7,000lbs.

The Honda Ridgeline comes in ahead for the widest payload on the truck bed and this means that at least it comes in ahead of the Toyota Tacoma as this truck is yet to win any points.

You might think that the Toyota Tacoma comes in ahead thanks to it offering blind spot monitoring. However the Honda Ridgeline does beat it as it offers plenty of top end features for safety and this includes lane departure warning.

While the 2017 Honda Ridgeline might not be beating the other vehicles overall, it does manage to hold its own. But which vehicle would you choose?
