2017 Honda Ridgeline, Frontier, Tacoma and Colorado Fight It Out

By  |

When the 2017 Honda Ridgeline made its way to the Detroit Auto Show the crowd really loved it. However, at the same time there were some who said that the vehicle had looks that were boring.

Bow people have been making comparisons to vehicles such as the Toyota Tacoma, Chevrolet Colorado and the Nissan Frontier. But how is the 2017 Honda Ridgeline able to stand up to the other vehicles in the midsize category?

The Chevrolet Colorado cannot be beaten for horsepower and for torque it is the Nissan Frontier that stands out. This means that on both these counts the Honda Ridgeline is behind. The Chevrolet Colorado is also ahead for the towing payload as it is able to tow 7,000lbs.

The Honda Ridgeline does have the widest payload, but not the heaviest. So at least in this aspect the Ridgeline wins over the Tacoma.

The Toyota Tacoma does have blind spot monitoring that is good but then the Honda Ridgeline does beat it as it offers up more safety features and this includes lane departure warning.

The Honda Ridgeline may not be way ahead of the competition; however, it can hold its own. But which would you go for, would it be the Ridgeline?
