2017 Honda Ridgeline, Frontier, Tacoma and Colorado Fight It Out

By  |

The 2017 Honda Ridgeline stopped the Detroit Auto Show as it got a great deal of attention. However not all of that attention was good as some people said that it looked boring.

People have started to compare the 2017 Honda Ridgeline against other trucks on the market. These include the Chevrolet Colorado, Nissan Frontier and the Toyota Tacoma. But how does the truck measure up?

If you want the truck with the most horsepower then you are going to have to go for the Chevrolet Colorado. For the most torque it is the Nissan Frontier that is ahead. For the biggest towing payload it is the Chevrolet Colorado that comes out ahead.

Where the 2017 Honda Ridgeline does come out on top is for having the widest payload. This means that at least the Ridgeline comes out in front of the Toyota Tacoma, as it hasn’t yet taken any points.

For safety you might think the Toyota Tacoma would come out ahead thanks to the blind spot monitoring. However the Honda Ridgeline beats it due to it coming with features such as lane departure warning.

The 2017 Honda Ridgeline isn’t going to beat the other trucks hands down but it can hold its head above water.

But which of these trucks would you go for?
