2017 Honda Ridgeline, Frontier, Colorado and Tacoma Fight It Out

By  |

While the 2017 Honda Ridgeline did attract a lot of good attention when it arrived at the Detroit show, at the same time it also attracted comments that were not so good. One of the downers to the vehicle is the looks it seems, as some people believe that it looks boring.

People have also been comparing the Honda Ridgeline to the larger trucks, including the Chevrolet Colorado, Nissan Frontier and the Toyota Tacoma. So which comes out ahead?

The Chevrolet Colorado offers up the more horses and it is the Nissan Frontier that offers the most torque. This means that the Honda Ridgeline is behind for the time being. For the biggest payload it is the Chevrolet Colorado that comes out ahead of the Honda Ridgeline due to it having 7,000lbs towing.

The Honda Ridgeline doesn’t take the award for the heaviest payload but it does take it for having the widest payload in the truck bed. This means that now the Ridgeline does come in ahead of the Toyota Tacoma.

The Toyota Tacoma has superb blind spot monitoring, however the Honda Ridgeline does come out ahead due to the fact that it also offers lane departure warning.

The Honda Ridgeline may not stand out well above the other vehicles but it does hold its own.
