2017 Honda Ridgeline: Failed To Earn Their Love

By  |

The Honda Ridgeline has a lot to offer. Not only does it look good but it is also spacious and comes with a ton of new features and tech. As nice as that sounds, those are not the things that a real truck driver would look for when they hunt for a truck.

Most of them are interested in the towing power, off-road capabilities and versatility that the truck and offer and to many of them, the Honda Ridgeline can’t offer them that. That is why despite all the awards, the Ridgeline is still not seen as being a real truck.

The fact is that Honda never intended to offer a real truck. Their intention from the beginning was to offer the city dwellers a truck that they can use in the city. The Ridgeline is all about being convenience.

Under the hood is a 3.5-liter V6 engine that will be mated to a six-speed auto transmission and will be offering about 280hp and 262lb ft of torque. The vehicle will return about 18mpg in the city and 25mpg on the highway and has a towing capacity of 5000lbs.
