It is looking like Honda may be getting closer with the Honda CR-V but we don’t believe that the 2017 version is going to be able to overtake the RAV4 anytime in the near future.

Reports suggest that the RAV4 hybrid has helped when it comes to the sales of the Toyota RAV4 by as much as 10%. People think that the missing hybrid option for the Honda CR-V could be the main reason why the CR-V is falling behind sales of the RAV4.

While we don’t think that the 2017 Honda CR-V is going to get a hybrid, we have heard that there may be a 2018 version coming and it could offer the plug-in hybrid option. But is this something that the Toyota RAV4 has to be concerned about?
