This time around the fifth gen is going to offer up turbocharging along with support for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Since it made its first arrival in 1997 the Honda CR-V has sold around 4 million units and the 2017 Honda CR-V has been re-engineered with styling taken from the Civic. It comes with premium updates to the interior along with being packed with plenty of tech and new features.

If you go for the Honda CR-V in the EX trim and upwards you get the turbocharged engine, this is a first for the CR-V. the 1.5 litre four cylinder comes with direct injection and 190 horsepower, along with what is said to be the highest EPA in the compact SUV class. The lower rims get the 2.4 litre DOHC engine and both come with CVT.

The interior has been updated and it offers more legroom, there is a brand new soft touch instrument panel and a 7 inch Android touchscreen which comes with the physical volume knob. The audio system features compatibility with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay to bring voice controlled search and GPS navigation.

The 2017 Honda CR-V really does prove that there is a first time for everything and it does it with plenty of style.
