2017 Honda Accord Takes On Kia Optima In Hybrid Fight

The 2017 Honda Accord and the Kia Optima are both going to be launched in hybrid format, but which would you rather be behind the wheel of?

The Honda Accord Hybrid is going to have a facelift at the front, while the engine is going to be the 2 litre Atkinson four-cylinder engine with two electric motors. The Honda Accord is going to offer up three different driving modes and these are the EV Drive, Hybrid Drive and Engine Drive.

The hybrid engine of the Honda Accord should give you around 49mpg when driving in the city and 47mpg when you take it out onto the highway. It will offer up adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency brakes, lane keeping assistance and plenty more. The entry level model comes in at $30, 440.

The Kia Optima offers the 2 litre engine along with electric motor and this is the 38kW battery pack. The engine has six speed automatic transmission and it offers 192 horses and 271 torque.

The Kia Optima with the hybrid should give you around 39mpg when driving in the city and 46mpg on the highway and the price tag is around $26, 846.
