2017 Ford Ranger: Tacoma Won’t See This Coming

By  |

Toyota Tacoma’s position is pretty solid in the market right now. Despite all the talks about the Colorado being able to take down the Tacoma, it still manages to come out on top but some people think that things will change when Ford brings in the new Ford Ranger this year.

While the Ranger was removed from the US market a few years ago, the truck continued to strive in some of the other markets like Australia and with the renew interest in trucks in the US market right now, Ford felt like this is the right time to bring the Ranger back.

We know that Ford will be giving the new Ranger a new exterior design along with a long list of features and tech upgrades but Ford has not revealed much yet.

Right now, the Ford Ranger is powered by a 2.2-liter turbocharged engine. There is also a 3.2-liter turbocharged engine. The Ranger will come with standard features like reversing camera, leather steering wheel, cruise control, climate control and more. It was also given a 5-star safety rating by ANCAP.

Do you think the Tacoma should be worried?
