2017 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 Finally Gets Reveal Date

By  |

One of the biggest things to come out of the Chevrolet Camaros 50th celebration for the 50th anniversary will be the reveal date of the 2017 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1. We expect the vehicle to be revealed along with the Camaro 1LE at the Woodward Dream Cruise on 20 August in Detroit.

We are expecting to see the last 6yh generations of the Chevrolet Camaro and the 1LE and ZL1 make an entrance at the event, with the latter being the highlight of the party, held over 18 to 20 August.

Of course the models for 2017 don’t look at that different from the ones in 2016, but there is more to the 2017 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 that just its looks.

People are more interested in the engine of the ZL1, which should offer 640 horses and 640 torque from the ten speed transmission that was developed with the help of Ford.

This is the same technology that is in the Ford Mustang, however the application is expected to be different as the 2017 Chevrolet Camaro is high performance. It moves faster than the seven speed PDK dual clutch of Porsche, which is a great feat as the PDK is among the best you can get.

The 2017 version of the 1LE is going to be a first for the V6 engine of the Camaro as it was only made available previously for the V8 Camaro SS.

So how excited are you about the 2017 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1s arrival?
