2017 BMW X6 Killer Revealed, & Its Big

By  |

We have heard about what could be the killer of the 2017 BMW X6 and we have to say that it is huge.

We found out about a vehicle that was said to be coming our way to take on the 2017 BMW X6 back in March and the vehicle came with the code name of the L560. It was said to have the F-Pace platform of Jaguar and it was coming with six or eight cylinders.

Since then we have seen spy shots of the L560 which also has the name of the Velar. They showed us a vehicle that had the design of the Range Rover Sport with a steeper raked roof and green house that was narrower.

The name Velar comes from Italy and it means to cover up or veil. The Velar has been the codename chosen for using on three door Range Rovers in the 60s and it was said that prototypes had that name so as to confuse the industrial spies.

But what else do we know about the vehicle that may kill off the 2017 BMW X6? Well we know that it is going to come with off the road capabilities to some extent. We also know that we can expect six and eight diesel and gas engines and that the vehicle is fairly well along in development.

It is thought that the vehicle may arrive early on next year and sales will start shortly after.
