2017 Audi TT RS: A Car Thief’s Worst Nightmare

By  |

We have just seen the 2017 Audi TT RS and it is thought that it may be making its first appearance at the Geneva Motor Show. When it does come out onto the roads it could become the worst nightmare for thief’s as it was seen with a manual shift and not that many people are able to use a manual.

At the moment we don’t know what the engine is that will power the 2017 Audi TT RS but there is the possibility that it may offer the 2.5 litre TFSI which was used in the RS3 Sportback. Another choice may be the 2.0 litre turbocharged TSI from the concept of the Volkswagen Golf R 400 that offers 394 horses.

It is thought that the Quattro permanent all-wheel drive of Audi may be used on the 2017 Audi TT RS and gearing looks as though it will be offered in the 7 speed wet dual clutch S tronic and the 6 speed stick shift.

If the 2017 Audi TT RS does arrive with manual shifter then it just may become a thief’s worst nightmare and owners can drive manual will have peace of mind that their vehicle is less likely to be stolen than the automatic standing next to it.
