2017 Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio vs BMW M3: The Italian Takes The Cake!

By  |

Both the Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio and BMW M3 are high-performance luxury sedans; but, which is the model that appeals the most to buyers?

The Alfa Romeo comes with a powerful Ferrari 2.9L twin-turbo V6 mill that is capable of churning out 505 horsepower and 443 lb-ft of torque and it doesn’t hurt that the model looks absolutely gorgeous.

This is a rear-wheel drive model that comes with an eight-speed self-shifter, with no manual tranny option available. However, this Giulia is capable of hitting 0 to 60 mph in under 3.8 seconds.

Meanwhile, the BMW M3 comes with an inline-six mill that produces 425 horsepower and 406 lb-ft of torque. Although its output figures isn’t as impressive as the Alfa Romeo’s, this model comes with a choice of either a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic or a six-speed manual.

The BMW only needs 3.9 seconds to go from complete standstill to 60mph when on the automatic mode while the manual mode require an additional two tenths to hit the same mark.

AutoGuide recently pitted these two models against each other on a poll and it looks like most buyers are more keen on owning the Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio as 64 percent out of 1,011 respondents opted for it.

Well, there’s no doubt that the Giulia stands above the M3 in a couple of ways; that said, do you also prefer to own the Alfa Romeo over the BMW?
