There is a new recall from Volkswagen and it affects the 2016 Volkswagen CC, Tiguan and the Golf. The recall is due to issues that have affected the child safety lock, which makes the vehicle not very child safe.

The report suggests that the child safety lock on some of the Volkswagen vehicles could disengage thanks to vibration, which would allow the child to open up the vehicle door on their own.

Around 5700 vehicles are said to be affected by the recall and the models that are included are said to be the Volkswagen GG which was produced during 12 January 2016 to 3 February along with the e-Golf produced between 25 November 2015 and 11th January 2016. The Golf R along with the Tiguan which were made between 25 November 2015 and 28 January 2016 are also said to be affected.

If you have one of the vehicles involved in the recall you should contact Volkswagen to find out if your child lock needs to be replaced.
