2016 Toyota Tundra: The Disappointment Continues

By  |

We have heard a lot of disappointing things about the 2016 Toyota Tundra in regards to safety test results on the highway. The only truck to get itself a good score in the category was the Ford F-150. The safety tests revealed that the Tundra should pull up its socks when it comes to the small frontal overlap test.

The small front overlap test simulates what would happen if a vehicle was to crash into a tree of pole at the front corner.

The Toyota Tundra did get an acceptable score for its double cab and the CrewMax only managed to get marginal. It suffered from poor results in regards to the lower foot and leg.

The Toyota Tundra in the double cab managed to get a good score in regards to the roof strength test, while the CrewMax was just acceptable.

This is very disappointing for those who thought that the Toyota Tundra might get a rating as good as the Toyota Prius.
