2016 Toyota Tacoma vs Nissan Frontier, Honda Ridgeline & Chevy Colorado: Whose Boss?

By  |

One vehicle that has been receiving a great deal of attention is the Honda Ridgeline, which is mainly thanks to the vehicle making an appearance at the Detroit Auto Show. The vehicle did go down well but to be fair it has received some criticism too and this is due to fact that is has, well, to be honest looks that are boring.

The vehicle has been compared alongside the Chevrolet Colorado, Nissan Frontier and the Toyota Tacoma, which some people say are tougher vehicles. So how does the Honda Ridgeline match up to these V6 vehicles? Well there are some aspects that set them apart so let’s take a look at them.

The Chevrolet Colorado packs in a lot more horsepower and the Nissan Frontier offers more torque. The Honda Ridgeline has to keep quiet in regards to both of these. In regards to the Chevrolet Colorado it offers a superb towing payload that beats the Ridgeline and other trucks as it comes in at 7,000lbs.

The Honda Ridgeline does beat the others in one aspect and this is that it offers the widest payload loading. This means that it is at least in front of the Toyota Tacoma as this hasn’t gained any points yet.

The Toyota Tacoma does offer up blind spot monitoring but then the Honda Ridgeline does beat it as it comes with other features for safety that put it ahead, such as lane departure warning.

So while the Honda Ridgeline doesn’t run away with the contest, it does have a lot going for it, but what do you think? Give us your thoughts in the comments.
