2016 Subaru WRX STi vs Ford Focus RS: Ford Wins

By  |

When it comes to high-performance small cars that also double as good daily drivers, you can’t go wrong with the 2016 Subaru WRX STi and the Ford Focus RS. But which is better?

This was the question posted by AutoGuide recently to their millions of readers and the verdict is quite shocking to say the least. The poll that compared the Subaru WRX STi to the Ford Focus RS garnered up almost 2,000 votes and left the Ford in the winning seat.

The Ford Focus RS and its 2.3L EcoBoost engine was more favored than the Subaru WRX STi, stealing a 68 percent. The Subaru WRX STi garnered up just 32 percent backers.

So what could be the reason for such a landslide victory for the Ford Focus RS in this popularity contest? Given that the Ford Focus RS is the more updated model of the duo and hence has more hype behind it, we would guess there would be more Ford Focus RS owners stumbling over this poll over the last two weeks.

Which would you opt for? The 2016 Subaru WRX STi or all-new Ford Focus RS? Sound off in the comments section below.

Sorry, but the Subaru is just plane ugly, especially when compared to the Focus – This is coming from a guy who owns a Subaru – well, previous generation model.
Subaru, please – drop the quirky angles and opt for some more elegant lines and you may have something.
