2016 Acura MDX Facelift: Mixed Reactions Arrive

Acura was at the New York Auto Show where they pull the covers off the 2016 Acura MDX. The SUV was given a facelift which includes a restyled exterior as well as a new powertrain under the hood.

The grille on the MDX was redesigned for 2016. Acura also made some changes to the bonnet as well as the headlights on the Acura MDX. The front bumper and tailpipes are brand new.

Besides showing off the new design, Acura also showed off the new Acura Sports Hybrid powertrain which is the new hybrid engine that will be fitted with a 3.0 liter SOHC V6 engine. The engine will come mated to a seven-speed dual-clutch auto transmission. The new hybrid engine is said to deliver about 325hp.

Safety features that will come as standard on the Acura MDX include lane departure warning, lane keeping assist, adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning, auto emergency braking and more.
