13-inch MacBook Pro Retina Release Date Set For October (Report)
October will see the release of a new MacBook Pro with a Retina display and 13-inch screen reports IBT.
13-inch MacBook Pro Retina release date falls in October
An analyst for NDP DisplaySearch told CNET that the device was already in production and would be 13.3 inches with 1600 x 2560 pixels. Indications are that it will be the MacBook Pro 12.3 as opposed to a MacBook Air.
Apple recently launched their MacBook Pro as a 15 inch version with the Retina Display and 220 ppi. The MacBook Pro is the very latest device from Apple to come with the Retina Display, following on from the success on the iPad and the iPhone.
Around 2 million units of the new laptop are thought to be made, with production starting in the third quarter of 2012. The Retina display for the device is said to be supplied by Samsung, LG and Sharp.
Coincidentally an analyst for KGI told Apple Insider back around WWDC that Apple would launch the 13 inch MacBook Pro Retina model in September-October as well.
