Rocket League 2: Will Be Following Overwatch

By  |

With Rocket League being around for a few years now, some fans thought that the developer of the game would start working on the new Rocket League 2 but it looks like Rocket League will be following the footsteps of Overwatch after all.

Blizzard announced not too long ago that there will be no Overwatch 2 as the main focus right now is to keep improving and providing new content for the current game. That is exactly what Psyonix will be doing with Rocket League as well.

In an interview with GameSpot, Rudi from Psyonix revealed that the studio is currently focusing on supporting the game by adding new content instead of creating a new sequel for the game.

They will focus on keeping up with the demands of the fans and to keep that interested in the game for as long as they can. With such a huge following, we can see why they think it would be better to work with what they already have instead of risk it all with a new game.
