It’s only a matter of time before these two flagship models hit the markets, but till then, a little comparison between Samsung’s Galaxy S7 and Xiaomi’s Mi5 wouldn’t do no harm. They are among the most talked-about smartphones in the rumour mill currently, so it isn’t surprising (or too early) if you’re beginning to consider getting yourself the S7 or Mi5.
In terms of display, the Xiaomi Mi5 is expected to feature a 5.2-inch display that’s supporting a resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels. If rumours are right, then we would also be expecting for the Mi5 to be equipped with 3D Touch technology too (and its rumoured 2 variants have been getting more widespread). As for Samsung, they are claiming to have two variants released too; one would be a 5.2-inch flat-screen, while the other would be a curved 5.7-inch screen. Both of them would be expected to support the Clear Touch pressure sensitive technology.
Both the Galaxy S7 and Mi5 might most likely be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processors. As for the S7, there will likely be two different processors for different markets; Snapdragon processor and 64-bit octa-core Exynos 8890 SoC for China/US and Europe/Japan/Korea respectively. Graphics-wise, the Mi5 is expected to be equipped with an Adreno 530 GPU. And in terms of battery lifespan, the S7 might feature a less powerful battery (only 2550 mAh) when compared to the Mi5’s 3300 mAh. So, chances of you running juice up your S7 is more likelier than that of the Mi5 at the end of the day.
Though these two phones are completely different from each other, there’s no denying the fact that they would become the next bestselling flagships upon releasing. So, which do you think you’re getting?
