The Volvo XC90 is a vehicle that is superb and this vehicle has revived the Volvo branding by itself. This means that it is more than qualified to show the Audi Q7 and the BMW X5 just how to do things.

Geely invested $11 billion in the Volvo branding four years ago now this has proven to be a wise investment. Some money was used on the new engine plant and some of it was spent on the SPA platform.

The Volvo XC90 and the S90 are two of the best vehicles from the company and sales of the XC90 increased by 259%. While at the moment the XC90 is 18 months, in four years it is going to be the oldest vehicle on the SPA platform. The Volvo boss recently said that he wanted the plant in South Carolina to produce 100,000 vehicles a year. At the same time he also talked about autonomous driving as Volvo is in partnership with Uber.

Volvo and Uber has done a lot of research into autonomous driving and a Volvo XC90 was seen out in testing in Pittsburgh.

Volvo has said that they wanted to be a top tier brand and just three years back they said that they wanted to be able to sell 800,000 vehicles each year. They have managed to sell 425,000 vehicles up to now and sales have doubled in just four years.

Volvo still believes that they are on target to meet the sales predicted and the Volvo XC90 has done a great deal towards the company being able to do just this.
