Volkswagen Passat GT Confirmed But…

By  |

Volkswagen hosted an event recently to talk about some of the plans they have for the near future. Among some of the things that they mentioned were their SUV and crossover plans for the future along with what they have to offer for the sedan and hatchback fans.

According to Volkswagen, they are looking to release a smaller version of the Atlas that will be coming in to compete with models like the Hyundai Santa Fe Sport, Ford Edge and more. There will be another crossover that will be sitting below the Tiguan.

Volkswagen also added that they will be releasing a VR6 powered Volkswagen Passat GT. Although they did stay that it will be released in 2018, they did not give us a specific date so we might have to wait until the end of 2018 before we get to see it.

Other plans include redesigning the Volkswagen Passat which will be released sometime in between 2019 and 2021.
