If you are with Virgin Mobile and you want to get your hands on the iPhone 5, then there’s some good news for you today courtesy of CNET.
Virgin Mobile iPhone 5 coming soon
This summer we saw Sprint’s prepaid Virgin mobile unit start to offer the iPhone 4 and 4S. However until today there was no mention of the iPhone 5. MacRumors have said that Apple confirmed that the iPhone 5 is ready for Virgin’s CDMA. It is rumored that both the white and the black versions of the iPhone 5 will be available in 16GB, 32GB and 64GB. However at the moment the finer details such as a release date have not been confirmed.
AT&T, Sprint and Verizon already have the iPhone 5 in the US and you can get the prepaid version of the device from Cricket. Some of the regional carriers also have the iPhone 5, around 16 official iPhone carriers reside in the US. At the moment Virgin Mobile, along with Alaska Communications do not have the latest iPhone 5.
It is thought that if Virgin start offering the iPhone 5 then the plans would be similar to what you can get with the iPhone 4 and 4S when they were offered in June. This was the Beyond Talk package with unlimited data and messaging. The plans start at $35 per month and there is no contract and no need to activate the handset. The downside is that you had to pay $550 for the iPhone 4 and for the 4S, $650.
Virgin has been very quiet about the launch of the latest iPhone 5, with neither Apple nor Virgin mobile having responded to comments
