Verizon Samsung Galaxy S6 Marshmallow Defies All Odds

By  |

Owners of the Verizon version of the Samsung Galaxy S6 are in for a sweet treat as they are going to be getting the update to Marshmallow 6.0.1. The update brings with it many additions along with a security patch for the S6 and the S6 Edge.

While owners of the Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge knew than Samsung had promised to give them the update, there have been delays. In December last year we heard about the update schedule.

Verizon was the first of the carriers in the US to offer the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update for the Note 5 and recently they gave the Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge the update too.

Owners of the Samsung Galaxy S6 will be able to enjoy features such as Now on Tap, Doze and they will be able to turn off the permissions at any time.

If you are the owner of the Verizon version of the Samsung Galaxy S6 and you want to check for the update you can head into settings, about device and then check with software update. If Marshmallow is available you should see an update now button.
