Some days ago the update for the Samsung Galaxy S3 to Jelly Bean came out in Australia and yet still there is no word about the update in the US for those with Verizon or AT&T. To make matters worse the update will also be available in Canada for owners of the Galaxy S3 within the week. So what are Verizon playing at, have they lost the Jelly Bean update or did they just forget to release it?
Verizon Samsung Galaxy S3 Jelly Bean update taking forever
If you are with Sprint or T-Mobile in the US then you will have been enjoying the Jelly Bean update on your Samsung Galaxy S3 for some time now. However the same cannot be said for Verizon or AT&T customers, both of whom are waiting to get their hands on the update.
Samsung are no doubt watching the US carriers as they fail to satisfy their customers’ demands and as they already have a somewhat tarnished record when it comes to updates in the US, they would likely not be pleased to see that Verizon and AT&T still haven’t released the update.
Verizon and AT&T cannot be too happy with the pressure on them to get the update out for the Samsung Galaxy S3 either. But what is taking them so long? Is it that they are making more tweaks to the update than the other carriers? Is the bloatware not ready? Or are they hoping that many dissatisfied customers upgrade to one of the newer devices?
