Jelly Bean has been in the news a lot as of late, and everyone wants it to get to the Samsung Galaxy S3 already. It has rolled out in some regions, but in the US it’s quite slow. Sprint has begun its rollout, and there was a leaked build for the Verizon Samsung Galaxy S3 earlier this month. However the latest word is that AT&T will get Jelly Bean next, and then only Verizon.
US Samsung Galaxy S3 Jelly Bean update coming to AT&T before Verizon (rumor)
The Samsung Galaxy S3 Jelly Bean update just isn’t happening fast enough for US punters, and they’re getting annoyed. It’s now November, when Jelly Bean was promised for both August and September by Samsung. There was then a rumour about JB not getting to the US until 2013. Sprint proved this wrong though, and we are hoping so will the other US carriers.
OTA updates for the Sprint Samsung Galaxy S3 continue apace, so who’s next then? PopHerald thinks that they’ve got the order of Jelly Bean rollouts for US carriers. The Samsung website had Sprint at the top of the list, and the other carriers were listed below – AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, then US Cellular. Is this the update order? It seems likely, as otherwise Samsung would list the carriers in alphabetical order.
It’s a theory, though. However, Samsung Galaxy S3 owners WILL get Jelly Bean 4.1 sooner or later. So hang in there folks. Have a good weekend.
