Verizon have put up documents about the Jelly Bean 4.1 update for the Samsung Galaxy S3 on their website, which seems to be official proof that the update has finally been approved. Rumors earlier said that 14th December would be the day for the release and it seems that may just keep to this.
Verizon Samsung Galaxy S3 Jelly Bean update approved
The Jelly Bean update brings Google now, improved notifications, better widgets and Project Butter to owners of the Verizon Samsung Galaxy S3. Verizon have also included Isis Mobile Wallet, which is available in test markets only, and they have fixed many bugs.
The Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update for the Verizon Samsung Galaxy S3 will be 62MB is size and the build number is the same as that which was leaked last week, VRBLK3. In a recent update to the website Verizon have now changed their support documents back to the ICS version though.
Once the Verizon Samsung Galaxy S3 gets its Jelly Bean update, it would have joined AT&T, Sprint and T-Mobile with its rollout. This just leaves US Cellular without it.
