Samsung Galaxy Note 2: Did Verizon Pass On The Phablet, Again?

By  |

Verizon are planning to offer the Vu under the name of the Intuition in the US on Verizon. The handset has already been passed by the FCC and said to be arriving sometime during this quarter reports Droid-Life.

Verizon LG Intuition to take on Samsung Galaxy Note 2

Once the announcement has been made consumers will be able to get hold of the device for $199 with a two year contract or if they want it unlocked it will be in the region of $549.

The device will have the five inch display and it is the first mega-device for Verizon, as they missed out on the original Samsung Galaxy Note. This of course brings up an interesting question. Will Verizon truly be the home of two phablets or are rumors of a Verizon Samsung Galaxy Note 2 likely false?

Personally, I would prefer the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 over the LG Optimus Vu as it is a second generation phablet and Samsung would certainly have learned a lot about how the market uses phablets in the past few months. Here’s hoping the Intuition is not going to be the only phablet choice on Big Red.
