There have been louder rumblings about a Jelly Bean update for the Verizon Galaxy Nexus, but the phone’s owners are still waiting, as there’s been no official news about this over-the-air upgrade yet.
Verizon Samsung Galaxy Nexus update isn’t Jelly Bean
Although we brought news at the end of last month about a new Android build rolling out to handsets – thought to be Jelly Bean – we’ve since discovered that isn’t the case. This update to the Samsung Galaxy Nexus may well just be an OTA update to sort out signal quality issues that are being experienced with 4G LTE. This problem has been so bad that some users have had to ask for new phones more than once, and so Samsung and Verizon want the problem sorted as soon as possible.
How are you getting on with your Verizon Galaxy Nexus? Have you had to replace your phone? Once? Twice? Which is more important to you, Jelly Bean or the 4G fix?
On a side note, rumors of a Samsung Galaxy Nexus 2 have already begun to sprout around the web. If they do hold true then you can expect a Jelly Bean Android with hardware that matches the likes of the Samsung Galaxy S3.
