Verizon’s website has gone ahead and officially annnounced the HTD DROID DNA already via their website by posting “Droid DNA unboxing” across the homepage. The device is thought to be heading to Verizon on Tuesday at an event and is set to take on the current top seller, the Samsung Galaxy S3.

Verizon HTC DROID DNA now official

The note reveals that Verizon are teaming up with PhoneDog for the unboxing of the handset and this will be through Google+ Hangout on 19th November. This may mean that the date for 20th November, which was seen on leaked on lists of MAP that were leaked, will be the day for the launch of the handset.

One reader also discovered that on the Google+ page of Verizon there is confirmation of that launch on 20th November. This is then followed by telling people about the unboxing, which happens live, the day before the launch of the handset.

Also a pair of what are said to be official renders of the device have been seen online thanks to @evleaks and the handset looks stunning. It’s similar to the One X from HTC, but with some DROID flare.

So what makes the HTC DROID DNA such a big deal? Simply put it has the goods. It has a sharper display than the Samsung Galaxy S3, a bigger screen size, a more upmarket styling, a quad-core processor (S3 has a dual-core here in the US) and to top it all off, comes with Android Jelly Bean preloaded.

Xbox 360, Playstation 3, Nintendo Wii, PC, iPhone and Android games keep Berke busy at work all day. Honestly though we’re not sure why we’re paying him as it should be the other way around.
