Verizon have announced two OTA updates for devices to Ice Cream Sandwich in the same day. Hard to believe but it’s true. It appears that the Motorola Droid Bionic and the LG Lucid, will both be updated to Android 4.0 ICS.
Verizon: Motorola DROID Bionic & LG Lucid Ice Cream Sandwich update
The update for the LG Lucid will roll out from tomorrow, while the exact time for the update for the Motorola DROID Bionic is at the moment unknown. However the Verizon website has posted the support docs, which means that it should be any day.
Along with news of the updates, Verizon also posted pictures to show owners of the handsets what the updates would bring. The owners of the Bionic devices have been waiting patiently for the update to ICS, after it being delayed time and time again. It’s also nice to find out that LG will for once update one of their devices too.
On a side note, the Samsung Galaxy S3 is expected to get its Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update shortly as well. The same can be said about the recently released Motorola DROID RAZR HD and MAXX HD.
