Verizon have got their devices for the holidays in shape for 2012. Verizon kept quiet when many companies held their August or September press events to announce the handsets for release in Q4 of 2012. Of course this didn’t stop the rumours or the leaks and it is due to these that we have some insight into what devices could be heading our way.
Upcoming Verizon phones 2012 (rumors)
One of these devices is the HTC Droid Incredible X, which many believe to be the recently announced HTC J Butterfly. It has a screen of 5 inches and a resolution of 1080p, the S4 Pro Snapdragon processor and 2GB of RAM. It may also have support for LTE on Verizon. It is thought that it will have 16GB of internal storage and SD card support up to 64GB. The only downside will be its 2,020mAh battery it seems.
Google may be releasing another Nexus device this year, believed to be the recently leaked LG Nexus 4. It share similar hardware to the LG Optimus G and is expected to be announced at the Google event on October 29.
Samsung have the Stratosphere 2 and if you want a physical keyboard this device is for you. It may have the dual core Snapdragon S4 and a display of Super AMOLED. However it is not thought to be HD. When released it will work on the LTE of Verizon and although the handset is not among the high end devices, it is a powerful phone with a solid keyboard.
There are of course numerous handsets not running Android that are coming our way to. The Nokia Lumia 920 is an exclusive on AT&T but there are now reports that there is a special Verizon version coming that is slightly thinner and specs to match the 920.
