Last month saw the announcement of the Samsung Galaxy Note 2, the LG Optimus G, the Motorola Droid RAZR MAXX HD and the iPhone 5. October may see some new Androids and WP8 devices, like the 1,080p HTC phone, a HP-designed Android and a new Samsung Galaxy S3 color.
Upcoming phones 2012 (predictions)
HTC is rumoured to be designing a new 1,080p phone that may have a 5” screen. This is all the info we have, although some benchmark tests suggest a quad-core chip and 4G LTE. The phone will be announced soon, through Verizon. There are also some rumours saying that it may come as a stock Android variant and be one of four touted Nexus phones to be released later this year. It’s been called the Google Nexus X in its stock form and the HTC DROID Incredible X in its Big Red form.
Then we have the HP bender. There’s only a benckmark leak showing ICS and a dual-core Snapdragon S4 chip. WebOS has been sidelined, and as HP had a bit of success with TouchPad on Android, it might dust it off again for Bender.
Then, ladies and gents – is a pink Samsung Galaxy S3. It appeared on the forums earlier this month. Leaked pics showed a bright pink body that may well be the latest hue to join the S3 fleet.
Verizon Nokia Lumia 920: Moving into Windows Phone 8 territory, while there was word that the Nokia Lumia 920 would be an AT&T exclusive, recently leaked photos of a Lumia 922 suggest we may see the device come in CDMA form for Verizon after all. It is expected to be identical to the Lumia 920 but possibly a little thinner. Why? We have no clue.
We’ll keep you posted as ever.
