2012 Upcoming Phones: Bender, Nexus Army, S3 In Hot Pink

By  |

October has been like Christmas come early for smartphone buyers thanks to the release of the Droid Razr Maxx HD, LG Optimus G, Samsung Galaxy Note 2 and the iPhone 5. So what could possibly be left for the remainder of the year? There is talk of an HTC handset with 1080p display, an HP Android device, new Nexus and a new colour addition to the line-up of the Samsung Galaxy S3.

Upcoming phones 2012

HTC are said to be bringing out a device that has a display of 5 inches, which will be 1080p. They revealed the HTC J Butterfly in Japan last week and this rumored device is expected to be based on that and head to Verizon as the HTC DROID DNA. The device has the 5 inch 1080p screen and 440ppi, along with a quad core processor, 2GB of RAM and among other things there is an 8 megapixel camera.

There is also the HP Bender, this has been leaked but all we know about it is that it comes with dual core Snapdragon processor of 1.5GHz and it runs ICS. WebOS is nowhere in sight, however HP were successful with the TouchPad on Android, so this is something we could see on the Bender hopefully.

Samsung are said to be releasing a pink version of their popular Galaxy S3. This has shown up in leaked photos, which reveal a bright pink handset and may just be the 7th colour choice for those wanting the Samsung Galaxy S3.

Last but not least is the LG Nexus 4. This has been a rumour for some time and there was a review on the prototype device too. The device has been based on the hardware of the Optimus G and it is thought that it will be the follow up to the Samsung Galaxy Nexus. Everyone is expecting the handset to be revealed on 29th October (this Monday) at the Google event.
