Upcoming Phones 2012: iPhone 5, 5 Nexus devices, bezel-free Motorola Android & more
Motorola along with Verizon are set to announced a couple of 4G LTE devices on the 5th September. One of these is thought to be the anticipated Droid Razr HD and the other the Razr M. The Razr HD may have a screen of 4.6 inches and run ICS. It should have support for NFC and have 1GB of RAM and a battery of 2530mAh. It is thought that it will be powered by the 1.5 GHz dual core processor of Qualcomm, the Snapdragon. The Droid M should be around $149 on a contract of two years and it may have a 4.3 inch display, with a 1.5GHz dual core processor and 1GB of RAM. Lastly, the latest leaks suggests that Motorola even have a bezel-free Android to reveal on the date. No name has been given for the device but it will reportedly be full-glass on front with an edge-to-edge display.
HTC meanwhile are said to be releasing their 1080p handset which may come with a display of 5 inches, but other than that we have very little else to go on. Benchmark tests held in July suggest that it will have the quad core S4 processor and 4G LTE. It is thought that the handset may be revealed in September.
More Google Nexus handsets are set to be released and these could come from Sony, Samsung and LG. They may be in the form of the Xperia Nexus, Optimus Nexus and Galaxy Nexus, otherwise known as the Superior. In total, Google is rumored to release 5 Nexus devices.
September should also be when Apple launches their latest iPhone 5. It is believed to be a major redesign and not a small step up like the 4S was. Anyone in the market for a new handset will have plenty of choices once this flurry of handsets are revealed.
